Halibut fishing:
Alaska Halibut Fishing has a reputation. Anglers have come to expect great things while Fishing for Halibut. Good steady action for Halibut in the 25-80 pound range is very common, with Alaska Halibut over 100 pounds brought to the scales every day. As a Alaska Halibut Fishing Charter, we do encourage catch-n-release on fish over 150 pounds, in which will preserve the Halibut that breed. Protecting our resources is vital so that generations to come will be able to enjoy fishing for these barn door Halibut.

 


Ling Cod Fishing & Rock fish:
Ling Cod is both the ugliest and at the same time the very best eating fish in Alaska, some say. Season starts July 1st, and the limit is 1 per day. Ling cod are caught every year in excess of 65 lbs., although most will be 25-35 pounders. Giant Ling Cod, weighing in excess of 65 lbs., are landed each year by our guests. Many Ling Cod are landed during our charters that range anywhere from 20-50lbs. August 1st marks the beginning of our season for Ling Cod, with a daily bag limit of one. The season extends through the month of September with the time period of August being the peak season.

The areas to fish for these huge Ling Cod provides exceptional action, and it is not uncommon to have several of these huge Lings on at the same time. In addition to catching Ling Cod you will experience fast action on Black Sea-Bass, Yellow-Eyes and other rock fish as you attempt to catch your Ling Cod.
